How to Prepare for Your Junk Removal Appointment

How to Prepare for Your Junk Removal Appointment
A little preparation goes a long way toward a fast, smooth junk removal pickup. Here’s exactly what to do before our crew arrives — most of it takes under 10 minutes.
1. Decide What Goes Before We Arrive
Walk through the space and make a clear mental (or written) list of what you want removed. If you’re unsure about an item, set it aside — we can advise on the spot. Having decisions made ahead of time makes the job faster, which means lower cost for you.
2. Clear a Path to the Items
We do all the heavy lifting, but we need to reach the items safely. If the junk is buried behind other things you’re keeping, clear a walkway wide enough for two people carrying a sofa. For attics and basements, make sure the access point is clear and the lighting is on.
3. Separate Donations from Disposal
If you want certain items donated rather than disposed of, set them apart or label them. We’ll take them to local donation partners at no additional charge. Clean, usable items — furniture in decent shape, clothing, kitchenware — are great candidates.
4. Secure Pets and Children
We’ll be moving heavy items through doorways and down stairs — for everyone’s safety, please keep pets and young children away from the work area during the job.
5. That’s It
Seriously — that’s the whole list. We handle everything else. You don’t need boxes, bags, or anything pre-sorted unless you want to. Just point at what goes and we take it from there. Questions? Call (704) XXX-XXXX any time.
